The Prologue to Your Book

I'm writing to explain why I couldn't look back that day I left you at the airport.  If I had looked, I would've fallen to my knees and screamed for you not to get on the plane.  I would've never been able to get up.  I'd still be stuck in the carpet all these years later like a wad of gum turned black.

Funny how it's called terminal.  Airports have so many damned terminals.

I thought I was supposed to keep living without you, but that was impossible.  So, I just pretended to be alive and I walked.  To do this, I could not look.  You would've shattered the pretense and that was all there was left of me.

I took one of your classes. I saw someone like you and the student matriculation assistant. In O’har airport and I missed many flights at those days. Finally, I took the plain to Nebraska after astonishing surprising week I went back to my birthplace. Now wondering in wanders from Venice to Santa Monica to Beverly Hills to Marina Del Ray to Downtown to Miracle Mile.
